Copperstate Dinner Theater extension of "Country Jukebox"
at the Arizona Broadway Theatre!

To date, we've been selling to almost soldout audiences, so I hope you can all come out and catch one of our extended performances at the NEW location for Copperstate Dinner Theater - Arizona Broadway Theatre!

Please notice some detail on the extension dates - Country Jukebox will extend its current run through Sunday, February 7th!  We will be dark for 2 weeks, as there was a previous engagement booked for the space in which we perform.  (remember, we were only supposed to run through January 31st)  We will then re-open on Friday, February 26th and play through Sunday, March 14th!

"Country Jukebox" is the world’s most unique country musical revue. During your delicious dinner, you are invited to select your favorites from our giant jukebox of nearly 100 Country tunes. Your choices are tallied and a brand-new world premier musical country revue, created by you the audience, is brought to life before your very eyes by our talented and versatile cast. Each show is as unique and as different as the audience that created it!
You may have recently seen 'Christmas Jukebox', which just closed after great success on New Years Eve at Copperstate! We were thrilled to bring that one back from last year as it won the 2009 AriZoni Award for Best Original Musical... following in the footsteps of 'Broadway Jukebox', which was an enormous hit 4 years ago at Copperstate, winning many awards including being named Best Original Musical by both the AriZoni Awards and The East Valley Tribune.

When no two shows are ever the same, it can be - to put it mildly - a challenge. As exciting for the performers as it is for the audience, a great part of the show takes place backstage out of your sight. Country Jukebox requires an amazing cast of actors whose versatility is put to the test each night as they adapt to the demands of your choices. Only one half hour before curtain, the cast mingles with you, and collects your jukebox selections for the evening. The pages are then carried backstage where your choices are quickly tallied and the most requested songs are compiled. With the help of the staff, songs are frantically put in dramatic and comedic order, divided by style, duets and ensemble numbers and then with literally only minutes to go until curtain, the final list is copied on to a giant whiteboard which is posted backstage, just in time for the cast to make their first entrance!

Performances are Friday & Saturday evenings dinner 6:30pm, curtain 8:00pm.  Sunday matinees are presented with dinner 12:30pm and curtain 2:00pm.  The ticket price for all performances is only $39.00 per person, which includes dinner and the show!  Appetizers, desserts and beverages are extra.  A full bar is available.  FYI... all comments regarding the food have been wonderful!  Reservations can be made at (623) 776-8400.

Please note the phone number for reservations! (623) 776-8400.   That is the Arizona Broadway Theatre’s box office. Call today for reservations or you can order tickets on-line at www.azbroadwaytheatre.com.  Just ask for tickets forCountry Jukebox”!

Also, please feel free to stop by our website at www.copperstatedinnertheater.com for more details and photos of the show!

As you can imagine, half the fun is watching the performers prepare each show. Since they have no idea what they will be singing each night, this show really keeps them on their toes! Remember, the six member cast must have nearly 100 songs at the ready - lyrics, harmonies and even the dance steps. To call that daunting is a gross understatement!

Country Jukebox is created and directed by Copperstate’s Producing Director Peter J. Hill, choreographed by Noel Irick, musically directed by Reynaldo Saenz and accompanied by Flora Mogerman. It stars Kathy Donald, Charlie Jourdan, Dominic Kidwell, Amy Powers and Janine Smith.

See you on stage!

Yes, we're back at the annual CAF Falcon Field event for 'Year 4' in 2010!  Once again, we'll be 'swingin and singing' to the tune of over 1,100 people!  We're continuing our 'jazzed up' Andrews Sisters WWII Salute (7-song salute this year!), featuring Susan Gerkin and Lizz Reeves - a treat, I promise you, you won't want to miss!  This year the salute will be even bigger and more exciting!!  The band is amazing, although there be just 4 of them, by giving you that great big band sound from the 1940's!

If you want to come to this fabulous ‘trip back to the 40’s’ evening, you will need to get tickets ahead of time as they sell it out every year!  Last year they had another 'sellout' crowd!

Tutti Santi Ristorante in Mesa!
1859 W. Guadalupe, Mesa  (just east of Dobson, at the front of the plaza - across the parking lot from Native New Yorker)
(480)820-7656

Stay tuned... (date to come) for the next evening of the BEST Italian cuisine in town and we always hope you, our jazz-lovin' friends, can join us!

Our last gig was February 25th and the place was packed!

For future reference, in case you haven't joined us on this gig, Roberto puts together one phenomenal wine-pairing dinner and those who participate in that part of the evening are in absolute heaven!

The set up will remain the same for each evening we perform at this classic Italian 'ristorante' (please see below), so come out and experience the ambiance!

Our friends can come on down, enjoy some great music and simply order an appetizer or dinner and/or drinks off their regular menu, all of which are at a very reasonable cost

However, if you would like to take advantage of Roberto's wine-pairing dinner, the food is
out of this world and a special menu is always created just for this affair as well as 'select' wines chosen by the one and only Roberto of Tutti Santi Ristorante!  This 'special menu' only is quite elaborate and is a set price of $60.00 per person.

I promise you, it will be worth the trip!

See you 'on Stage'...  Kathy

909 E. Elliot Road, Tempe (S.E. Corner of Rural & Tempe) (480)730-9009

7pm - 10pm - Every Sunday Night

Kathy performs often with one the Valley's premier jazz duos Aebi/Coulson!  They have a regular drummer on this gig with their already awesome duo on Sunday nights!  Some of the best singers & musicians in the Valley (TRULY) are seen on this evening for what always results in a riveting Jam Night!  Sharon Aebi & Robert Coulson have extensive experience in playing popular music of the time, and Jazz Standards have always played an important part in their individual musical lives - so much so that it resulted in a 'marriage of the soul', both musically and legally!  Check them out at www.aebicoulson.com.  This always promises to be one fun evening for all!

Kathy's hubby Ed (or as we know him Eddie-D!) also performs on vocals with Aebi/Coulson!

So, come on down for a magnificent "Sunday Night Jam" - All Musicians and Friends welcome!
